How status is calculated
Status is not stored. It is computed from the expiry date against today:
- Unknown — no expiry date
- Expired — date is in the past
- Critical — 0 to 7 days left
- Urgent — 8 to 14 days
- Soon — 15 to 30 days (labelled Upcoming in filters)
- OK — more than 30 days
Dashboard grouping
Deadline Pulse and the Critical card count both Critical and already-expired assets. Assets without a date are excluded from Pulse and listed separately as missing dates.
What status is not
Auto-renew is an informational flag (yes / no / unknown). It does not change status and does not renew anything. Reminder thresholds (30 / 14 / 7 / 1 days by default) send mail on those exact remaining-day values; they do not redefine the status bands.
