Where the checklist lives
A new workspace shows six onboarding steps on the dashboard. Completing the matching action marks a step done. You can also skip a step from the dashboard if you have permission to create records.
1. Add your first client
Open Clients and create a card: name, optional contact, email, website, and notes. Later assets attach to this client.
2. Add a domain or SSL
Open Assets and add an item with a type, expiry date, and who renews it. Domain and SSL are the usual first types; hosting, plugin license, and custom types are available too.
3. Set a reminder contact
Reminders go to the asset notice email if set, otherwise the client email, otherwise the first workspace user. Fill at least one of those so notices have a destination.
4. Who pays for renewal
Set payer to Agency or Client. Leave Unknown only when you have not checked yet. This feeds the upcoming payments split; it does not charge anyone.
5. Run the first check
On an SSL asset, enable the port-443 auto-check. The scheduled job fills last-checked time and expiry when the certificate is reachable. No server login is required.
6. Open the client report
On the client page, generate a read-only status link. Anyone with the URL can see asset names, types, dates, and statuses — not emails, notes, or costs. Owners can regenerate or turn the link off.
